DO NOT READ THIS!!!—ok read it if you want.

This is just an update on what is happening in the musical endeavors of Mr. Jared Fowler (that’s me 🙂 )

The Update will go like such

1. CD
2. Shows
3. Tour
4. Future

1. The CD has been completed! What an incredibly long and beautiful journey this has been. I have felt inspired so many times while working with the musicians in the band and on the CD. Singing with my wife Angie on this album has been, alone, a deeply beautiful experience. Joel Noftle(Producer) has brought forward exactly the album we envisioned creating and deserves every award there is to be given.

I decided to call the album Vancouver Rain. This is also the tittle of the first track on the 6 track disc. Vancouver Rain is a song that encompasses everything I think that my music and I are about.

I decided quality over quantity. In a musical market of regurgitated pop music and techno beats that lack originality, I figured 6, amazingly fantastic great songs, are better than 10 pretty good ones. This will be available for purchase online everywhere including iTunes and will be in stores by March. I will always have CD’s available if you see me around so just ask and I’ll get you the hook up.

2. We’ve got a ton of shows coming up the best place to refer to is the facebook page and/or my personal profile page. Add me as a friend if you haven’t already. The most notable ones are, in February on the 26th we are playing at Harmony for Haiti (Haiti benefit concert) at Clark theater in Mission. In April we also have an acoustic show with Behind Sapphire from Vancouver at City Blends Coffee in Abbotsford. We are playing more shows than this, so if you can’t make one, look on facebook and you’ll find other ones to come out to.

3. I have a tour happening in March on which I’ll be traveling up north in British Columbia. My hope is to have a packed show every night, but i realize that will not happen unless i am able to tell everyone i know about the dates. if you are not able to attend the show but you know someone in the area that I’m playing i would hug you and embrace you heartily if you invited them on my behalf. here are the places. Thank you so much for your support.

Oliver, BC – March 18th 2010
Prince George, BC – March 19th 2010
Fort St. John, BC – March 20th 2010
Fort Nelson, BC – March 29th 2010
Quesnel, BC – March 31st 2010
Williams Lake, BC – April 1st 2010
Penticton, BC – April 2nd 2010
Mission, BC – April 8th 2010
Abbotsford, BC – April 24th 2010

4. Well what does the future hold? well we aren’t sure. I’m not quitting my day job just yet and don’t really plan on it any time soon. i love what i do for a living and i love what i do for everything else. My future will always be in the hands of God and like my Muslim friends say “Insha’Allah”, if God willing, perhaps I’ll actually make some money to feed these brilliant children of mine.

Thank you for your support. Thank you for you love, patience, time, poems, friendship, hugs and back scratches. I hope you love this album of songs as much as we do. i don’t believe you’ll be disappointed. Thank you again

Cheers,
Jared
